Missing In Action (MIA).

One year has passed and my blog is still like the way it is. When is it ever gonna change? Or will it? Well, I would like to give it a hope because nothing is permanent. Even it was abandoned for a very long time. Let's start with how the year kicked off and where I am today.

2009 had been a very wonderful year. I really count my blessing because this year I had a little more than last year which I couldn't have asked for more. I had a great start to 2009 when my biz partner and I managed to convinced a potential leader to joint our group in Fusion Excel International. After which everything took off to a better height.

Thanks to Fusion Excel, I have the opportunity to travel this year. I had been to Ho Chi Minh, Sandakan, Bangkok, Singapore and Melbourne. The simple reason is that Fusion Excel has already spread its wings to 150 countries in which 50 country consists of Fusion Excel licensees. Where the business takes me, there I will be.

So Why Fusion Excel? It has gave and will continue to give me leverage income and time. In simple terms it means that I write how much I want on the paycheck and I get to sleep until I wake up. I don't have to drag myself to work.

(Founder CEO of Fusion Excel International, Mr. Paul Ting)

Not forgetting that Fusion Excel too gave me the opportunity to bless others with health through the Quantum Science products and monetary through the Hope For Children Program. With its concept of Social Entrepreneurship, the company has pledged to raised USD $10 Million within the time span of 5 years to help the needy and poor children around the world.

I had also been to Hong Kong and Bali for the very first time. I went to Hong Kong for my friend's wedding cum holiday and Bali for beach vacation. Hong Kong is like NYC in asia, that is made of skyscrapers, packed with people and screaming with the hustle and bustle of the city. Everything is quite costly here and I mean everything. Accommodation, transportation, food and, you name it. Nonetheless it is sure worth the trip due to its uniqueness.

Bali was another destination that has been listed on my "places to travel" for a very long time and was finally checked. I never had a clue how Bali was like but having nice clear blue waters and gorgeous sunsets. It was also the first time I've really seen a sunset. When I was there, it was more than what I expected. There were many friendly Balinese ever ready to assist and great you with a smile. The food was very authentic with a hint of Malaysian flavor. Bali indeed is a tourism island which consist at least 50% of the occupation here.

I was at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium to catch my favorite EPL team, MAN UTD took on the national team. Heck I even got myself the very last season jersey just for the sake of being a fan. I was so motivated that I drove around town just to get a sized that fits me and I found it at Nike shop, Sungai Wang Plaza. Since I was there, I went to Al-Ikhsan to get my name endorsed. Init look for real? Glory Glory MAN UTD.

I finally upgraded my DSLR from a Nikon D80 to a Nikon D300s shortly after its official release in Sept 2009. I really love it very much!!! Apart from the higher ISO and shutter speed, there are many more functions that I could play around with. I also gotten a 18-200mm VR II lens together with the SB900 speed light. Here are some of the final work of a D300s (better ones have yet to come).

On the 7th Nov, I will be in Bangkok again for the launch of the Hope For Children Program in Thailand. A banner that spans 1.2KM long will be unveil at the HRH Princess Siribha Chudhabhom Airport, Saraburi Aero Park. This will mark yet another historical moment for Fusion Excel International because this event will be covered by major news channel around the world including CNN and CNBC. This banner will also be witness by the Guinness World of Records to register the world's largest banner.

On the 27th Nov, I will be in Taipei for a spiritual retreat for 10 days. To experience true happiness, I believe we need to have a balance in all aspects of life. Despite being busy with daily routines, business travels, and personal matters, I have decided to take some time off to keep in touch with my spiritual life. That is to go through a 10 day period of intensive prayers and series of chantings. This will be my first time going for this retreat and I hope that I will be able to cope and adapt as fast as possible.

Well, that was quite a little bit that I have wrote. Anyway, I should be writing and posting more things from time to time. Be sure to check back once in a while to see what is install for you, k.

Regards,
Sean

Dead Ends

Have you ever encountered one? You bet. Not only in driving can a person encountered dead ends. It sure sucks to meet dead ends. It sucks cuz your journey ahead comes to a complete halt when everything seems to ride smooth. It sucks cuz you took a 180 degree free fall when you are riding high. It sucks cuz your hope turns into despair. It sucks cuz everything you plan, turned out the other way. It sucks cuz when you are shouting your lungs out, no one can hear you.

Imagine a person driving you crazy when you try to tell them that they are heading towards a dead end, yet they can afford to ignore you completely. Not only that. They accelerate into it. I don't have a single clue on what are their brains made of. This kind of people really impresses me only the other way round.

In my situation, a dead end is encountered when I try to make a very reasonable and feasible solution to a problem, it becomes another problem. I know it is not my problem but, when it involves my love ones, trust me, it is still my problem. I am always seen as immature by him. I would agree on certain occasion but not as always. The problem with him is, he always thinks that he is right. Even when he is wrong, he still thinks otherwise. You know what is a cow? Enough said.

You may think, big deal cuz he's the man. But let me tell you something. Living it for a day or two is alright. Try living it for 26 years. I tell you it is just full of crap. I am so darn tired and sick of it. Right now I'm just completely ignoring it and moving on with my life. When time needs me to open my mouth, I will. Either than that, I'll just treat it like nothing has happened.

2008 has been great, but I'm so looking forward to 2009.

Out of Town For Cousin's Wedding

I will be away this weekend for my cousin's wedding in Sg. Petani. This cousin of mine, is the only boy and also the youngest in the family. He has 6 sisters and all of them are married. Talking about having six sisters. Can you guess how many nieces and nephews he has? It is more than what your fingers could count. You may say 10 is pretty decent cuz six multiply by two gives you at least 12, right? I've seen their family photos, and they can form a football team with substitutes and reserves. Now that is huge!!! Imagine when they will be going for this wedding dinner? They will easily occupy up two tables!!! Now that is huge!!! What about transporting them to the dinner? Couple of cars or perhaps 2 vans? Now that is huge!!!

Early Christmas Surprise (ECS, that right!)

Alright, so my buddy-cum-ex roomate, Wilson Ngu is coming back to KL for this Christmas holiday. I was really glad and excited when he broke the news to me cuz the time when we last met was during the LAS VEGAS trip in DEC 2006. That was one heckuva trip cuz we drove from SJC to LV for about 12 hrs one way (including rest stop, Mc. Donalds and etc.). Well, technically he drove but I assisted him in navigation (the GPS did most of the job tho). By the end of our trip, we started to speak like the navigator. "Yeah..... Yes....." (only Wilson and I knows it). Anyway, I was looking forward to his arrival at KLIA or LCCT. At the mean time, I wrote him an email about getting something there for me. So, here it is....
Well, over here, I was trying to apply my fifty-zero theory again whereby if I ask, my chances of getting it is 50%. If I just keep it to myself, I'll never get it. This theory seems to work and my 50% chance turned into 100% reality. Thanks again Wilson. A good friend like him is hard to come by (not just because he is bringing back stuffs for me ok). If you know him personally, you will know what I'm talking about. The reason why I asked him to bring it back from halfway across the globe is because there isn't any Old Navy here. Moreover, their range of clothings are really comfortable and affordable.

With this, I would like to end with a special thanks to Wilson again. I will ensure that your trip back to KL be a priceless and memorable one. It'll be so memorable that you wouldn't want to go back to the land of where an African American is made the President.

Nikon D80 Digital SLR Camera

What a glorious moment to finally have this piece of technology in the hands of mind. Well, carpet (literally). I've been longing for a DSLR camera or at least a camera that can do a better job than a regular digital camera. The NIKON D80 was it (could be better cuz there was a budget constraint). I still like it very much.
Actually I love Canon cameras a lot. They were like my number one choice in providing the best digital pictures. So why Nikon? Well, I was "over exposed" to the fact that Nikon DSLR camera does a magnificent job. Not only that. I had couple of experience with the Nikon SLRs and I like the way it is. You see the problem is, when you like something, you want it. Not only want it, but the exact same one that you first laid your eyes on (only a dumba$$ will literally put their eyes on it). Anyway, do you know how it goes when you like something or someone? Let's look at an analogy here.

DID YOU KNOW!???

Cameras are closely related to a girl. When you first meet a girl, you will have your own impressions about her. So, it turned out to be a good one, you want to get to know her and better more, be her friend. You take her out for a dinner, a movie, a stroll in the park, or maybe surprise her with one of your lame @$$ old school surprises. You will just sneak up to her music class just to catch a glance of her even though you still have 101 things to do. Once you get into the comfy zon and know each other better, you would want to take it to the next level cuz she becomes more appealing to you over time and you know she's the one. Once you had your eyes, heart and mind locked onto her, every other girl appears invincible to you (not applied to crocodile breed), am I right? Similar to a camera.

At the first glance, it will look just so-so or "big deal, it's just another camera". Look at it couple more times, you became attracted to it cuz the design is slick and very appealing to the eyes. You would go to Fotokem, Foto Shangri-la, or www.nikon.com just to check it out and to learn more about its capabilities and functions. You look at the works of a Nikon camera and now you want to get your hands on it cuz you suddenly want to be a photo journalist. You will borrow it from your friends, or work place to use it at birthday parties, wedding dinner or even on a family vacation. Now what? You want to take it completely to the next level. You want to own it cuz everything seems to be perfect. What about Canon EOS DSLR or Sony ALpha cameras? F*** em. I Love my Nikon.

NOW YOU KNOW....

Well, that doesn't mean Canon and Sony cameras are no good. They are not only good, they are fantastic (especially Canon). I own 3 canon digital cameras, S400, SD630 and SD750.  S400 is completely busted and same goes to the SD630 due to flash flood. The lens is blurred and it takes a retail price to repair it. So screw it. The current SD750 which in my opinion is not as good as the SD630 because the resolution somehow looks bad when in not so bright areas and the flash over expose the pictures. So in the end, it boils down to which camera we are more comfortable and used to.

Here's what I got in the end.....

Spring of 2008

Yeap, it may not be spring right now but it definitely is for me. Waking up to blogging again just makes it feels like spring in September. For the past 1 year plus, I had been really caught up with work and barely had the time to even look at my blog. Well, at first it was really due to work but after that it was pure laze. Guess what? Those days will soon come to an end.

I've decided to post regularly and heck I'll just write something that I've eaten, how the weather was, or even why I'm not updating my blog. Yeah, I would update my blog for not being able to update it. Good thinking. Right now I'll just post a mini update cum useless things just to get the feel and flow of writing again.

First of all, I'm feeling good cuz I no longer live the 8am-6pm (most of the time past 6pm) life. I'm currently in the energy business. So what is this energy business all about? Am I a chargeman? or maybe am I the major share holder of TNB (because I no longer have a fix working hour)? Nope. I'm in a business whereby energy healing would be the medicine of the future. It is something that you don't have to consume yet you will be able to enjoy tremendous health benefits beyond your knowledge and expectations. I would write more about it later.

Second, I am able to see and take care of my parents more. Recalling back my 8am-6pm days, I don't even get to see them very often cuz I would already be in bed when they come back, and I will be out early in the morning while they are still asleep. They too travel out of town occasionally. This is not good cuz I won't be able to know what's going on with them or their well beings. Sometimes at work or while I'm driving, I will be thinking about them. So, yeah.

Third, I was motivated to continue blogging after screening through the web blogs of many famous bloggers especially kennysia.com. He is no longer a stranger in the blog sphere. Unlike xiaxue.blogspot.com which is full of dramas and nonsensicle stuffs, his blog is what I would say, entertaining and sometime informative. Checking out his web blog would be like checking cnn.com for news updates, toto.com for the latest 4D results or soccernet.com for match results (in my case). His blog is potentially addictive and may cause a serious tummy cramps due to excessive humour.

Anyway, my purpose here is to encourage people to read my blog too so that they can either learn a thing or 2 about me, or get a daily dose of "you just made my day" kinda thing.

Is there a fourth? Yeah, maybe but I'm getting tired now cuz it is close to 4am now.

Como Estes Amigo!

Holy super duperly cow! I can't really remember when was the last time I blogged!! But one thing I surely remembered was that I've never blog for a very long time now. Wait, was there a different in what I've just said? Maybe not. Anyway, I actually miss blogging cuz this would allow me to express myself freely without having to hold back any of my thoughts. So, as a head start, I would just give a brief update about myself on what has gone down this past couple of months.

Firstly, I began my industrial training in automation whereby I've gone through almost every technical aspect of it. Please don't get yourself confused by the word automation cuz automation is everything about a system being automated. It differs from automotive and I got to say that I've learn a lot here and it's gonna bring me way beyond expectations. The knowledge gained here are priceless, as trainers are from various companies sharing their experiences here. I'm also being exposed to how things would be in a real situation and had many questions answered.

Alright, the core module in this training is PLC (programmable Logic Controller), SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisiton), HMI (Human Machine Interface), Electrical Systems & Sensors, Electrical Control of Fluid Power (Hydraulics and Pneumatics), and AutoCad. I also went through soft skills training such as MS Project, Business Presentation, 5s, 7 QC Tools, 6 Sigma, Poka Yoke, VB, and Power Interview. Yeah, tell me about it. There are more to it. If you are into those above or even have a potentially good opportunity for me, do let me know. We could talk about it over a coffee or something.

Secondly, I'm enjoying most of what I'm currently doing. The group of colleague I met here were friendly, helpful and what else more, fun! I can still remember how day one went whereby everyone was a little tense due to the new environment adaptation. Well, what do you know!? Past second week into the training, we knew each other like we grew up together and we go to work everyday as though we own that place. That is why they purposely schedule a boot camp on the very first day. It's sort of a team building cum ice breaking. Here, I was required to work in various groups on different activities. Very mind opening and best part of all, I enjoyed it!

Thirdly, places to eat are pretty limited as there are only 4 Malay and 1 Indian restaurant. Not that I have a problem with it, just that it lacks of variety as all of them are mostly hot and spicy food and looks just the same. There's a Tesco nearby though, but I seldom go there cuz I'll sweat like a pig walking there under the hot sun. Can you believe I used that as an excuse not to eat there? LoL! Even I myself can't believe it. Oh oh and another reason was because I ate breakfast most of the time, hence skipping lunch. I'll break for tea time and have some kuih muihs though.

The recent fasting month was the worst period ever! I only had mamak to choose. Wait, I had not choice but to eat at the mamak. I was quite a loyal customer larr to that mamak till I cannot tahan seeing things like roti canai and Indian curries already. Then I started to see a point walking to the Tesco food court. Never regretted a single bit though I have to be showered in sweat resulting from eating and walking there. Sometimes I bring my own lunch. It wasn't too long before I went back to my old eating habits after the fasting month. At times, I'll eat just because my stomach is grumbling and not something I look forward to.

Finally, I'll be done with training in Jan 2008 and by then will I know where I will be attached to. Time really flies, so does my training period. Guess that's all for now as I promised a brief update and not a long story. For those who read my blog and hasn't been keeping in touch in a while now, please do so. I'll be more than glad to hear from you. Others are welcome too =) TTFN.

There Goes My Chances

Alright, so I had my chance for the interview with Intel. Problem was, I would only be able to know the outcome earliest in 1 week time. On the other hand, I have to start my industrial training at Shah Alam on July 16, 2007 cuz I've already had an offer. The problem was, I had to sign a contract, which leaves me no choice but to accept the offer because I do not know the outcome of the Intel interview. How I wished the time frame between the Intel interview and day I had to accept the industrial training offer, weren't that short. Guess the interview outcome with Intel doesn't matter anymore as I had signed the contract. I can't believe 2007 had been such a pain in the ass to me because things weren't destined to be right from the begining, but, I won't succumb to that fact cuz I'm an optimistic person and always look forward to a better day. They say that after bad things happens, good things will come next. Hope that day will be in a great surprise for me. I felt really excited to start my 9-5s especially after a long "break".

Happy Birthday JOWEE!!! Btw, JOWEE was my housemate in Michigan while we were studying at Western and is my uncle nine now.. hehehe.

Going Up North

Alright, so I'll be going up north to day, heading towards Kulim. That's right! I'll be having an interview with Intel on Friday morning. Right now, I am quite nervous and excited to seal the deal. Actually I've already gotten an offer in Shah Alam, but only need to report on the July 16. Legally speaking, I'm still not bonded to it yet till I put ink on paper. So, right now I'm hoping that I could get on the offer on the spot after the interview. I know I'm being unreasonable, but I'm also being optimistic =) Chances might be low, but I'm just trying my luck cuz If I never try, the percentage of success is 0%, but if I try, the percentage of success would be 50%. That is why I always believe in this theory. Guess, now it's all up to me to excel in the interview. Wish me luck.

Happy Birthday to me!!! Can I have my presents now? =)

4th of July

Can you believe that the United States had just celebrated the 231st independence day? On this very day, 231 years ago, the United States had declared independence from the Great Britain. Oh my, how time really flies and I'm almost a quarter of a century now. You must be wondering why is 4th of July significant to me. Well, I would say that because I've been in the United States for 4 years and I did enjoyed every moment that I've spent there. The United States had gave me a chance to understand a whole new culture and to experience what is it like to live life at GMT-05:00. It's an experience that money can't buy. Though I've been there for 4 years, I know I still had alot to learn about the United States and many grounds to cover.

What I miss most on this day was the airshows, the parades, the fireworks, the BBQ and the environment. The celebrations are always grand and wouldn't be complete without the fireworks and the grills. Last 2 years, I was at the BattleCreek Airshow and was at St. Joseph beach firing up the grill for a sumptuous BBQ endeavour last year. Though I'm back in Malaysia this year but, there's always a part of America in me and in my heart. I wish that one day I can own a mansion along the coastal beach of California because it's one of the most beautiful places in the world I've been to.

Happy 231st Independence Day fellow Americans.
